2. Information we collect

Registration information. We collect your name, email address and organization or affiliation when you request access.

Communications. We collect information you provide when contacting us, requesting support or submitting feedback.

Planner inputs and outputs. Information you provide through the Planner, including assessment answers and associated outputs, is maintained and stored by Rihla Research & Advisory through a cloud database to provide the Planner and maintain your submitted assessments. We do not provide this information to outside companies or entities for their independent use. Our cloud service providers process information on our behalf as described in Section 4.

Technical information. The Planner is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and request logs to deliver the website, monitor performance and maintain security. The information retained depends on the hosting configuration and enabled services.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information or confidential material through the Planner.

3. How we use information

We use registration information to provide and administer access, understand which organizations use the Planner and respond to requests.

We use relevant technical information to operate the site, diagnose problems, prevent abuse and protect its security.

We use information about Planner activity to improve the service only as described in this Policy. Where we publish usage statistics, we use aggregated information that does not identify individual users.

If you separately opt in, we may send Rihla research updates or information about our services. Providing an email address to access the Planner does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

4. How we disclose information

Rihla uses cloud service providers to host the Planner and store user-provided information on our behalf. These providers may process information as necessary to operate, maintain and secure those services. Their handling of information is governed by the applicable service agreements and data protection terms.

We do not provide user information to outside companies or entities for their independent marketing or commercial use. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate misuse or address security incidents.

Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of relevant business assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.

5. Cookies and browser storage

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies or browser storage may affect access or prevent the Planner from remembering your settings.

Where applicable law requires consent for optional tracking, we obtain that consent before enabling it.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only for the purposes described in this Policy and for applicable legal, security and recordkeeping needs.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. We may retain limited information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes or maintain a record of a marketing opt-out.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information we handle. No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security.

If a security incident triggers a legal notification requirement, we will notify affected individuals and authorities as required by applicable law.

8. Your choices and requests

You may contact Info@rihlaadvisory.com to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information.

We will review requests under applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some information may be retained for legal or security reasons. Deleting registration information may prevent continued access to the Planner.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages. Essential access, security or service communications may continue.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights, including rights to restrict processing, receive a copy of information or appeal a decision about a privacy request. We will honor applicable rights and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising them.

9. International users

Rihla is based in Florida, United States. Information may be processed in the United States and in countries where our service providers operate.

Those countries may have different data protection laws from your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will implement them. This Policy does not replace any additional notice or safeguard required by applicable law.

10. Children

The Planner is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

11. External websites

The Planner may link to external websites. Their operators are responsible for their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy and will revise the effective date when we do. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes where required by law.
